Inside Shotmori

Everything after
the screenshot.

Collect, organize, prepare, and carry on. A screenshot shelf that starts with your Mac shortcuts and fits the way you work.

Native to macOS · English & Türkçe · Core tools run on your Mac

01 / Collect

Your familiar shortcut.
Your captures, together.

Keep taking screenshots with macOS. Shotmori brings new screenshots saved to your chosen folder into the active shelf in the main panel.

Works where you save.

Use your Mac’s screenshot folder or choose a custom location. Shotmori keeps the original files where they are.

Bring in a clipboard image.

Use Add from clipboard to bring a copied image into the shelf, without taking another screenshot.

Pick up where you left off.

Your shelves survive a restart. At launch, Shotmori also adds up to 10 of the most recent screenshots saved while it was closed.

Spot the new arrivals.

New-image badges and the menu bar count show what arrived since your last accepted drag.

Choose how much to keep.

Keep 5–100 images in each shelf. At the limit, the oldest items leave the list; the original files stay on your Mac.

02 / Organize

Different tasks.
Their own shelves.

Name your tabs and keep related screenshots together. Open a shelf in its own window when a reference needs to stay in view.

Up to 8 named shelves.

Create a shelf for each task. Switch with the tabs or ⌘1–⌘8; new captures arrive in the active shelf in the main panel.

Move or group your images.

Drag images onto another shelf’s tab or use Move to shelf. Add group dividers to separate work within a shelf, too.

Open separately. Put it back later.

Keep a shelf open in its own window, then put it back in the main panel. After a restart, separate windows return as tabs.

Removing an item, clearing a shelf, or closing one does not delete the original files.

03 / Prepare

A little preparation.
A clearer message.

Crop a single image, cover sensitive details, change its dimensions, or copy its text. These tools run on your Mac.

Crop & redact

Show what matters.
Cover what’s private.

Crop freely, square, or at 16:9. Cover sensitive areas with solid redaction. Zoom, undo, and redo to get the details right.

Control the dimensions and file size.

Choose presets or custom dimensions. Lock the aspect ratio, choose PNG/JPEG, adjust JPEG quality, and see the estimated file size.

Skip the retyping.

Copy text from an image with OCR. Recognition runs when you start it; an empty result leaves your clipboard untouched.

Editing and resizing create new copies. Copy, add to the shelf, or save as a new file; your original stays intact.

04 / Transfer

One image.
Or the whole context.

Select multiple screenshots with ⌘ or ⇧ and drag them together into an app that accepts files. Bringing up the shelf keeps your working app in front.

Copy or share.

Copy with ⌘C or open the macOS Share menu. Use Save as for one file, or copy selected files into a folder.

Open in the right app.

Open with the default app, choose another from Open with, or reveal your screenshots in Finder.

Keep the shelf within reach.

Bring it up beside your pointer or use the menu bar popover. By default it hides after a successful drop; hold ⌥ or pin it to keep it open.

You can hand off files to AI chats, too. Shotmori does not include built-in AI analysis.

05 / Personalize

Your everyday actions.
In your preferred order.

Put your favorite actions along the bottom of the shelf, arrange them, and choose a shortcut that feels natural.

Small preferences.
A flow that fits.

  • Reorder favorites by dragging or using the arrow buttons.
  • Record your own shortcut to show or hide the shelf.
  • Choose launch at login and what happens after a drop.
  • Set the app language to English or Turkish.

06 / Connect your cloud Preview

Your chosen cloud.
Sharing on your terms.

Connect Google Drive or S3-compatible storage. Upload what you need, or enable automatic backup for new screenshots.

Start it yourself

Upload and share.

Upload selected files from the shelf. When each upload finishes, its link is copied to your clipboard; earlier links stay in Recent uploads in the menu bar.

Optional · off by default

Back up new captures.

Automatically upload screenshots arriving in your watched folder. Include edited and resized copies if you choose.

Choose who can access it.

Keep Drive files private or allow anyone with the link. For S3, use a timed signed link or a public object.

Share in the format you need.

Copy a plain URL, Markdown image, or HTML. Customize the folder and path template for uploads.

Keep track of the queue.

Uploads wait while offline. Failed jobs are retried a few times automatically, then wait for you to retry; image badges and recent uploads help you follow their status.

Preview: setup and live validation required. Drive requires a configured OAuth client; S3 needs your storage configuration. End-to-end validation with live accounts is still pending. Core shelf and editing tools work without a cloud account.

Does backup affect my local files?

Local files stay by default. A separate, initially disabled option can move the local file to the Trash only after its backup is successfully verified. Images added from the clipboard are not included in automatic backup.

Can I manage a link after uploading?

Use the Cloud menu to copy a link, open it in a browser, or change its access. Deleting the cloud copy asks for confirmation and does not delete the local file.
